Just Chris.

I like that.

[Chris is what Jason used to call her. It used to drive her crazy. But Steve occasionally calls her it too, and she absolutely loves it. So she guesses it just goes to show what happens when someone you love gives you a nickname.

The idea though of having a little girl named Chris is perfect to her though. She completely ignores class in favor of daydreaming about a future with Steve where they're married and own a house and have eight kids. She's lose in that daydream for a little while.

How long do we have to wait to make this happen again? I know we talked about a five year plan, but what if that feels like five years is too long?

I'm just saying that we're usually careful. I'm not telling you that we should make a baby right now, but I am telling you that the idea of making one is enough that I really want you right about now.

If you don't sneak out, I'll probably hold it against you and be really grumpy later. Or sad. I might even frown at you when we meet for lunch later.

You don't want that do you?

[Is she terrible at guilting him and convincing him to do something? Probably. But she's already ditched class and is hanging outside the building he's in. She's got her giant textbook she had to work weeks of babysitting to be able to afford, which makes her feel a little guilty about skipping out on class.

But it's only this once, she tells herself. And it's not like it's a total waste of tuition. There's a lot of other classes for her to attend this semester. And she's way too turned on right now to just sit there and try to pay attention to a professor go on and on.

The library?

That's not very creative, Steve.

[Not that Chrissy's ever inspired to fool around in creative places. His car or anywhere in their apartment is fine. Okay, it's really his apartment. She just stays there pretty much 24/7 now that she's out of high school and legally an adult. She's her own person now, her parents unable to tell her what to do. Not that Laura Cunningham even bothers telling her not to see Steve anymore. She accepts the fact that he's a permanent fixture in Chrissy's life.]

We could just go behind the math building. It's dark and quiet and no one will see us.

[Is fooling around outside a little too daring? She hasn't decided yet.]
